I was made aware of the Global Social Leaders Student Competition through my school and was encouraged to participate in this competition as this not-for-profit enterprise I had started up aligns with many of the United Nations' Global Goals for Sustainable Development. This competition (www.globalsocialleaders.com/ggcompetition) supports young people to develop and implement a project that helps to address the United Nations' Global Goals and join a global movement of socially conscious leaders. This competition starts early December and ends on the 1st of May 2019. For this competition you are required to work in a team towards achieving the United Nations' Global Goals. The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Lucy and I chose to work towards are quality education, responsible consumption and production, sustainable cities and communities, and reduced inequalities. While we have chosen a lot of SDGs that we see are similar to the goals of Paper Pens Pencils already, we know that the two of us aren't capable of solving these global issues however what matters is that our small positive change will contribute to the global movement.
